Notre instrument est un spectrom\u00e8tre Bruker ALPHA-P avec ATR diamant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La spectrom\u00e9trie FTIR est bas\u00e9e sur l&rsquo;absorption d&rsquo;un rayonnement infrarouge par le mat\u00e9riau analys\u00e9. Elle permet d&rsquo;effectuer l&rsquo;analyse des fonctions chimiques pr\u00e9sentes dans le mat\u00e9riau via la d\u00e9tection des vibrations caract\u00e9ristiques des liaisons chimiques. Ainsi, \u00e0 un mat\u00e9riau de composition chimique et de structure donn\u00e9es correspond un ensemble de bandes d&rsquo;absorption de longueurs d&rsquo;ondes caract\u00e9ristiques qui se traduisent par des pics sur les courbes &#8211; ou spectres infrarouges &#8211; obtenues. La composition sp\u00e9cifique du mat\u00e9riau \u00e0 analyser peut \u00eatre d\u00e9duite en superposant son spectre \u00e0 ceux de mat\u00e9riaux de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n<h5>Exemple d&rsquo;application :<\/h5>\n<p>Dans la figure suivante, les spectres infrarouges de deux mat\u00e9riaux inconnus pr\u00e9lev\u00e9s sur une ruine romaine sont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/figure2_spectreagrandis-2\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-39141\" src=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis-300x232.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis-300x232.jpg 300w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis-768x593.jpg 768w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis-1024x791.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis-1200x927.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figure2_SpectreAgrandis.jpg 1650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Spectres infrarouges de deux mat\u00e9riaux inconnus pr\u00e9lev\u00e9s sur une ruine romaine.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La rapide comparaison des spectres a permis dans un premier temps de d\u00e9terminer que les mat\u00e9riaux des deux \u00e9chantillons ont en grande partie la m\u00eame composition chimique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La personne pour qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 faites ces analyses nous ayant indiqu\u00e9 que la ruine en question avait par le pass\u00e9 \u00e9t\u00e9 couverte de nids d&rsquo;oiseaux, nous avons compar\u00e9 les spectres des \u00e9chantillons avec le spectre de l&rsquo;hydroxyapatite (ou hydroxylapatite), un hydroxy-phosphate de calcium de formule Ca5(PO4)3(OH) et nous avons pu constater la grande similitude entre les trois spectres (cf. figure ci-apr\u00e8s).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les autres propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des \u00e9chantillons test\u00e9s (propri\u00e9t\u00e9s chimiques et optiques) ont permis de confirmer qu&rsquo;ils contenaient effectivement de l&rsquo;hydroxyapatite.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/figure_3\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-39143\" src=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figur3-300x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figur3-300x221.jpg 300w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figur3-768x565.jpg 768w, https:\/\/conservation-science.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Figur3.jpg 884w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><em>Comparaison des spectres des \u00e9chantillons avec le spectre de hydroxyapatite issu du site <a href=\"http:\/\/rruff.info\/hydroxylapatit\/display=default\/R050512\">http:\/\/rruff.info\/hydroxylapatit\/display=default\/R050512<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nous avons donc pu informer notre client que la ruine romaine \u00e9tait recouverte, non pas de polychromies, mais d&rsquo;hydroxyapatite qui s&rsquo;est tr\u00e8s probablement form\u00e9e suite \u00e0 la r\u00e9action entre les fientes d&rsquo;oiseaux &#8211;
